2 weeks prior to treatment:
  • Avoid Extreme Sun Exposure 
  • Avoid chemical peels, lasers, botox/filler, and retinol products  
  • Do: Use an at home lip scrub 1-2x daily 
  • Do: Stay Hydrated!- use Aquaphor Lip balm and drink plenty of water 
  • Do: Take Arnica supplements to combat any swelling or bruising that may take place during your procedure 

7 Days Prior to Treatment:
  • Avoid Blood Thinners including Fish Oils, Advil, and Alcohol. - stop caffeine 24/48 hrs before treatment
Book your Touch up appointment! This is a 2 step process. There are many different factors that will contribute to your healed results. Trust the process, and your artist!

Post treatment night of - after you've finished eating/drinking for the day blot the treated area with your provided antiseptic wipes. Repeat for Days 1-3 Morning and Night. Following the procedure it is normal to be swollen, you are encouraged to ice your lips every few hours.

Starting Day 2: Following every cleansing of the lips with your antiseptic wipe (morning & night) apply a thin coat of provided healing ointment. Keep applying ointment until day 14. Be sure to use a CLEAN lip applicator/ Q-tip when applying the healing ointment. Apply gently, making sure to not disturb flaking/scabbing.
*Disclaimer: tampering with flaking/scabbing of the tattoo will affect the overall healed result of the tattoo. Trust the process and let your body do the healing!*

Week 2-4
Avoid pools, hot baths, saunas, extreme sun exposure, tanning beds and massages.
  • Avoid Aesthetic procedures such as fillers/botox, facials, waxing, threading, and laser treatments.
  • Avoid activities that cause excessive sweating 
  • Avoid touching or exposing the tattoo to unsanitary conditions
  • Do: Use straws and utensils to keep food/drinks away from your fresh tattoo.
  • Dark Lip Neutralization clients may experience a temporary darkening (hypo/hyperpigmentation) of the lip tissue on days 7-10. This may take 1-3 months to subside.

Days 1-7:
Book your Touch up appointment! This is a 2 step process. There are many different factors that will contribute to your healed results. Trust the process, and your artist!

The healing process looks different for everyone! Following your brow treatment you may be slightly red and irritated, DO NOT rub, scratch or tamper with the treatment area. You may feel excited but it is imperative you do not touch your fresh tattoo and you follow aftercare for best healed results.
  • Lymph Fluid may appear in the treated area, carefully blot the fluid away with a damp cotton round, (do not wipe) This is your body trying to create a scab in the treatment area, we want to let this happen yet keep scabbing minimal.
  • Be cautious when washing your face, keep cleansing products and skin care products, and abrasive towelettes away from the treated area. 
  • When your brows start to feel tight and/or dry start applying your provided healing ointment to the treated area 2-3x a day, before reapplying make sure to carefully wipe away the excess product with your provided antiseptic wipes. This keeps your tattoo free of potential infection and lets the tattoo breathe. Continue this process for the next 10-14 days.

Oily Skin Types:
If advised by your artist, DO NOT apply healing ointment your natural oils will act as such.

Week 2-4:
  • Avoid Facials, brow services (tinting,waxing,threading), massages, chemical peels, and lasers
  • Avoid sun exposure, hot tubs, saunas, tanning beds, and pools
  • Avoid excessive sweating
  • Avoid Injectable appointments 
  • After day 30 you may start applying SPF to the healed tattoo

If you wear contacts it is best to take them out before the procedure and bring your prescription glasses to wear 1-3 days post treatment. If you have lash extensions please have them removed before your treatment includes strip lashes.

**You must wait at least 2 months after any cataract, LASIK, or blepharoplasty surgeries***

The healing process looks different for everyone! Following your eyeliner treatment you may be slightly red, swollen and irritated, DO NOT rub, scratch or tamper with the treatment area. You may feel excited but it is imperative you do not touch your fresh tattoo and you follow aftercare for best healed results.

Day 1-7: 
Following the procedure it is normal to be swollen, you are encouraged to ice your eyes every few hours.
You may experience a bit of itching or lash fallout during healing, this is normal.

Apply your provided healing ointment 2x daily after gently cleansing the area with an antiseptic wipe. 
  • Do NOT pick, rub, or peel at the treatment area/ scabs, this will affect your healed results.
  • DO NOT apply cosmetic such as mascara, eye shadow or false lashes to the treatment area
  • DO NOT get lotions, serums, or soap near the treatment area.

Week 2-4:
  • Avoid curling your lashes, ash extension, lash perming, tinting services for 3 weeks 
  • Avoid saunas, hot tubs, pools, prolonged sun exposure, and tanning beds
  • Avoid Touch the treatment area or exposing the tattoo to unsanitary environments

  • Obtain written clearance from your reconstructive surgeon.
  • Come to your appointment with clean skin, free of lotions or perfumes.
  • Please wear loose fitting clothes 
  • Avoid sunburns, alcohol, and blood thinners 
Immediately following the procedure tegaderm will be applied over the tattoo. Patients are to keep the applied tagederm on for 1 week.

Little fluid and/or blood build up is normal.

Avoid sun tanning, tanning beds,and heavy exercising . NO SUBMERGING ie. Pools, hot tubs, baths,.
  • After seven days take off Tegaderm- Hop in the shower and gently clean the 3D Areola tattoo with soap and fingers. (Please no abrasive rubbing including washcloths.)
  • Sit topless for 45 min to 1 hour: let air dry. If advised to… send pictures of the tattoo to your artist for check in and/or concerns!

IF CLIENTS DO NOT DO WELL WITH TEGADERM:
  • Aquaphor will be applied to the tattoo along with nonstick breast pads. Clients are advised to shower that afternoon and repeat the application of Aquaphor for two days.(this method is more likely to cause scabbing over the treated area).  

On day 7… take a shower and wash the 3D areola tattoo with soap fingers gently (no abrasive rubbing including washcloths). Sit topless for 45 min to 1 hour: let air dry. If advised to… send pictures of the tattoo to your artist for check in and/or concerns!

  • On the day of your SMP appointment it is required that full SMP clients come with a full close buzz cut and a washed head. For Density clients, please come with washed hair.
  • Avoid dying your natural hair for 2 weeks before to your appointment 
  • Avoid using hair oils, serums, or lotions 
  • After your initial SMP Appointment you have 3 DONTS: NO SUN. NO SWEAT. NO WET. 
  • Stay out of the sun. Away from the gym. And do not get your head wet for 5 DAYS.

After your initial appointment, use provided foaming soap starting DAY 5. 

  • Gently wash your scalp and PAT DRY with a non abrasive cloth. 
  • Start applying cetaphil sensitive or hustle tattoo butter for added moisture daily!

SMP IS AN INVESTMENT
 
You should be moisturizing your head everyday with sensitive moisturizer or tattoo butter. Most importantly, you should ALWAYS be applying sunscreen to your scalp to protect pigment color.
